5 Stars You will not be disappointed!!
I have played many different CCG from Magic to Vampire to Warcry and others. As a big fan of Blizzard games, Diablo, Warcraft and of course WOW, I was looking forward to trying out the Heroes of Azeroth CCG. I was not disappointed. The game is easy to learn, and fun to boot! I was given the Onyxia raid deck for Christmas, but didn’t have any of the other cards yet. Since then, I have purchased and played with the hero decks and cards. The most fun by far was the first time we tried out the raid deck against 5 hero decks. It was very close but Onyxia won out in the end! Everyone had fun and commented on how challenging the raid deck was to play against and not just a walk in the park.

The artwork is quite varied with some totally awesome cards and others more run of the mill. Too bad Penny Arcade didn’t make more of the artwork. The rules did have a few gaps and will I am sure have clarifications made in future editions. For a first pass though, they are good overall. All of the cards relate to in game items, quests, characters and abilities. That alone makes it appealing to WoW fans. The Onyxia raid deck comes with a pack of rare treasure cards usable by heroes, that alone makes it worth buying more than one raid deck. If you like WoW and CCG, you will like this game and definitely the Onyxia raid deck. I am looking forward to the Ragnaros raid deck later this year!

5 Stars it really is Wow!
WoW and UDE both made some pretty amazing cards here. I was amazed at how well they were set up, and how interactive it is!

1 Stars Poor CCG
As a huge magic AND a huge WoW fan, I looked all over for this game thinking it would be the best of both worlds…unfortunately, it’s the worst of both.

Beware the HUGE imbalance of hero cards/decks in this game. It’s obvious that the game was not properly put through its paces before it was run out the door. Upper Deck should be ashamed of the poor play-balancing.

Outside of that complaint (which makes the game itself useless), the art is so-so compared to other CCGs and the rule-book absolutely ABYSMAL.

Do yourself a favor and purchase a properly put-together CCG (I don’t care which one you choose, just choose something other than Heroes of Azeroth).
